SEE WEDDING | EVE + ERIK 5.5.12

As many of you know, because of the amount of wedding inquiries I had been recieving, I decided to join forces with the very talented Elliott O'Donovan and launch a separate wedding + event company: Sarah Elliott Events. We shot a beautiful wedding at a rustic barn near Sugarloaf Mt this past weekend and I wanted to share a teaser from our time with the bride & groom.  Eve + Erik were wonderful to work with... the lighting and location could not have been better--- we even found this old [working] tractor to incorporate into a shot. Eve was very brave since there was motor-oil everywhere but I think you'll agree her courage paid off--- and luckily her beautiful dress that her mother' made [pride & predjudice style to fit her theme] remained pure white! 

Elliott and I had a fantastic time being part of your wedding and documenting your love... more shots coming soon on SEE.  Until then... check out the tractor shot!

MADDY | SENIOR SHOOT

This past weekend, I shot a great senior session with Maddy... she wanted fun, natural images and we shot in her beautiful landscaped backyard so that when she goes off to College this fall, she can have a little reminder of home!  I love the early morning light and the soft color palette for outfits that Maddy chose... so pretty! Thanks for an amazing shoot!

Hoping you have a lovely Valentine's Day tomorrow!

Was editing a batch of new photos from a shoot I did the other day, and came across the beautiful Ali, whom I shot this past November and completely forgot with the busy Thanksgiving season to post! [*eek!].  Ali was so fun to shoot and looking back on these photos taken in Rock Creek Park, we could not have chosen a better location -- trees full of vibrant rich hughes--- nothing compared to the barren, dullish-grey landscape that meets your eye this February.  Despite the colors... I did love the series in black&whites... something about the purity of the image really stood out.

TRISTAN | ANYTIME SESSION

I had the priveledge of meeting Tristan in Georgetown for a fun shoot this past Saturday.  He showed up looking so suave... that guy can put together one rockin outfit--complete with earmuff, gloves, scarf and leather&canvas briefcase tote.  Tristan, the moment I saw you waiting for me on the corner of M St & Wisconsin, I knew we were going to have an amazing session... here are a few teasers from our session!
